Renew driving license.

Anyone renewed driving license over 70 since November? How long did it take on line, DVLA claim within a week or two if done on line. Renewed wife’s in October, back within two weeks. Did mine 10th December, still no sign…in progress it says. Going away end of Feb for 3 months…getting twitchy!

About 2 weeks from sending D2 and D4 forms by post to DVLA to receiving renewed licence. This was the 3 year renewal (age 73) for driving over 3.5t motorhome.

A couple of days.I got the letter on monday,filled in the online form and received the UK licence today .Not bothered with over 3.5 ton so let it lapse.
Not even had time to cut up the old one and post it back.

Did your application include the D4 medical?

If so there are long delays. I applied at the beginning of December and it seems my application won't be processed till the beginning of March.

Not strictly true as my renewal application included the D4 medical (see #3) and new licence with all categories included was with me less than 2 weeks after I posted every thing off (D2 and D4) to DVLA. However I had no medical issues and it seems that if there are issues this is what causes the delay. To be honest I was a bit miffed that the licence was returned so promptly as it commences from renewal date rather than expiry date of previous licence so I lost a couple of months!

No, just a straightforward online over 70 renewal with no medical conditions (age 75). Beginning to think something has gone awry.

Did the same. Bought a smaller MH last year just had to declutter and throw out all the just in case bits and tools that you may need for something that never seems to happen.

I suspect your speedy application was a fluke.

The website referenced in the other thread shows around a three month delay in processing applications. If there are queries that result it's going to take even longer.

Did mine on line back in 10 days last Oct guess you need to chase it up
