Hi all, last update for my 2007 Peugeot Boxer based motorhome is a new interior. I need to remove the driver and passenger seats. Has anyone done this and is it easy/hard, anything to watch out for? Theres a cable underneath. Looks like its just a few bolts. I can pull apart engines so it looks pretty easy. Ill post a few before and after pics when its done. I guess 11 years ago it looked great but just like me, its got a bit older, looks dated and saggy as times gone on!

Cheers

I recently removed the front seats in my FIAT DUCATO probably similar to your Peugeot

had to do that to get a new fridge freezer into the van as it would not go through the habitation door? easy enough job just four bolts hold the seat and swivel frame to the sub seat base. heavy lift to remove this part of the job , then another 4 bolts hold the sub frame to the van floor, job done, there were no cables under my seats, could yours be a seat belt warning gadget, mine was routed elsewhere, have fun.

You will be surprised how heavy they are so be prepared. Its not really a job for one unless your name is Tarzan. The later Fiats have two bolts at the front which you remove and the seat moves forward with the seat frame. I have removed the seat by undoing the runners as well. It does take a bit of the weight away. The Laika had cloth seats when it was delivered instead of the leather ones it should have had. Took two guys to very carefully remove them without damaging anything.

Be careful of the wires they may be air bag or seat belt pretensioner wires, disconnect battery and leave for 5 mins before uncoupling the wires if not you might get a air bag in thy lug! Ouch

Hi all. I managed to strip the inside of the motorhome in 30 mins. Lat thing to sort is the seats. Noticed x4 bolts under the seat and the cables so uncoupled the battery. Then noticed the arms are held on by these. Funny looking bolts with a weird internal head. They arnt usual bolt heads. Anyone know where I can get a socket to undo these.

That is a Torx screw. Any motorists shop should keep them in stock. All you have to do is find the size.
IE T2 T3 T4 etc.
