Crispy skins, fluffy spuds ...butter and baked beans with a garnish of some coriander I had left over

I just did 4 big spuds in m/wave 20 mins/modern kitchen tool, then topped with cheese for kids and ourselves, slurp slurp

My microwave still in its case and lived here since April . I guess hungry kids to feed a different ball park. Remoska at 400 w I don't worry too much re time

We used to use our remoska quite a lot, baked potatoes are far tastier using that than cooking them in the microwave, however we cook them for our 8yr old granddaughter in the microwave because she doesn't eat the skins

You have not got to grips with a m/wave,food if done right is far better and all goodness locked in.
That and table top oven/toaster is all i have used in 30 years.

I had to laugh at that because you have no idea how competent Maggy is at cooking, we bought our first microwave over 38 years ago, we didn't know anyone else who had one because they were newish in homes then, our current one is a combination 1000w microwave, grill and fan oven and we use it extensively at home but my comment was about baked spuds and other foods that are better done the traditional way even though using a microwave is quicker and can be tasty, it all comes down to which you prefer
