read that stuff....none of it ans my question
...forget gasfrigginglow:p

let me simplify...:eek:

where can i get the adapter that allows me to pull in to a gass fill
station and fill my 13kg calor bottle.

haven’t see the ans to that anywhere

my major client is a big gas company...CO2, argon nitrogen etc
they fill liquid by weight through a 2 way regulator valve at a fixed pressure.

they have 100 of small backstreet competitors with basic kit all doin the same thing with 200/500 lts cylinders.

so was wondering.... why there are not 100's if not 1000's of backstreet/
sme's/garages doing the same openly for the refill of CALOR bottles.

or are there and i've never heard of them

regards;)
aj

or is it a case of calor saying " you can't do that" for protectionist reasons under a H&S guise ... which is total mollix

Maybe you could ask them.

Most of us know the answer to your question but are concerned that you might put yourself AND OTHERS in danger by attempting to use the adaptors. Since it might be one of us at the next pump, we are just not going to tell you.

You can get the item you need of ebay if you must go that very dodgy way but first bear in mind calor and all other gas bottle companies have a disclosure on there bottles that states they are only to be filled by themselves, you also have no way of compling with the forcourt legal requirement that your bottle is both "a fixed system with a sepparate fill and supply point" and has an 80% overfill cut off.The first thing that your insurance company will look at if you ever god forbid have any fire or gas leak, this then voids said insurance. The liquid gas in very minute proportions in your gas supply pipes expands approx 200 times its volume and in effect makes your cooker/fire/fridge a flame thrower.
There will be people who come allong and tell you to bye this and save a fortune but be very careful with it:mad::mad::mad:

sounds like scaremongering to me ... or a dose of calor brainwashin:p

and yes i have discussed it with professionals and their opinion is that with the right valve refilling a calor cylinders is no more hazardous than filling an lpg car.. all we need is the right valve :D

so... will be discussing this issue with a few valve manufacturers next week... client suggests that a suitable valve should cost no more than £30.00:cool:

we'll see

regards ;)
