Watching a lovely sunset in Wales right now has got me thinking. What's the next line for you?

Being born in a port it's Red sky at night sailors delight for me. How about you?

Red sky at night sheperds delight

dead sheep in the morning Global warming :)

In Wales red sky at night used to mean 'English holiday home on fire'

Being a simple Westcountry boy and because we always got the Atlantic weather fronts before anyone else, it was always "Red sky at night...Shepherd's delight. Red Sky in the morning....shepherd's warning.

Over the years though I've found "Old Speckled Hen at night.....New speckled pan in the morning" to be much more appropriate.

We watched the sunset in wales last night. Lovely, and definately sailors delight.

Red sky at night was always from the glow of the Steel works when I was young.

Reminds me of the cold war era. Soviets were training young females to parachute into enemy territory to infiltrate and pass back information.
One lands in Wales in a remote spot and she goes to a shepherd's hut to get out of the rain. "Come in look you" says the shepherd "and lets get them wet clothes off of you"

RED SPY AT NIGHT ..... SHEPHERD'S DELIGHT!!!!

Hiya Angela it really was a glorious sunset. I was wildcamping in Freshwater West after a peaceful and relaxing day on the beach. A lovely spot next to the beach with toilets and bins.
