Morning all.
We had the bulb out warning light come on, checked and the rear right side light and right number plate light are not working. Lamps are good, but no feed to them. Would it be ok to run a separate feed from the rear right side light and number plate light to power them up rather than trying to trace miles of cables? or would it throw up another bulb out fault on the dash? Can't find a fuse for them, and no fuses etc. mentioned in the hand book. Vehicle is a Burstner Solano T 615 on a 2007 fiat ducato Chassis.

Thanks. Colin 🙂👍

There are 'usually' 2 seperate fuses for side/side markers/front top/front rear lights/number plate lights....

So if you lose one fuse... You still have at least one of each paired lights....

Difficulty is identifying fuses as there seem to be so many permutations of fuse, boxes fitted.

Took me a heap of digging to sort

Check your front sidelight as well. There are usually 2 fuses, one for nearside lights, one for offside lights. As said earlier, it could well be a poor earth somewhere at the back of the van.

Yep, I've still got a rear right side marker. Just going out to have another look🤞

Front side light same side working. Going outside for more investigation 🤞

Ran a separate earth from a working side light to the duff one....still no joy. Can't find any mention of rear right numberplate light or side light in the hand book (fiat or Burstner). Might just have to run a separate feed from the working number plate and rear sidelight as we've got a trip coming up and hope it doesn't throw up a fault on the dash.. already had anyway☹️🤷

Just a thought. Do you also have the high sidelights as well as the usual low ones? They could be the problem. On my Burstner there was a live and earth to the UK nearside light but only a live to the other side. The earth was through the aluminium skin. A very poor idea and I had to run an earth wire across the ear of the van (internally).

I do, but they both work, so I guess it's not that 🤔
