The press buttons on my overhead lockers all rattle and squeak when driving along, doesn't matter much about the ones at the rear but the noise from the one on the locker nearest the cab is very irritating as this is just a short distance from my ear. Iv'e tried unscrewing the button and screwing it in tight but to no avail as it still moves around. I would be interest to know if anyone has has the same issue and found a solution.

Can you post a photo! Ive had several like this, fixes for me range from , remove button and put a layer of selltape inside the outer housing , next try a small rubber tube slotted over the threaded bar then screw the button upto it to make the rubber compress and take up the slack, also try changing it for a locker that hasnt had as much use

I can see what you mean, I like the idea of a piece of rubber tubing since that would take up some slack, I can see the screw threaded metal pin inside when I take off the button,I will give it a try.

Try moving the plastic catch (that the latch engages with) back a little so the whole lot is under a bit more tension, that worked for me.

Another fix on a drawer was to put some plastic cupboard stoppers between the back of the front panel and the cabinet, again to put the catch under more tension, that worked to.

Thanks everyone, I have tried a basic but easy fix, a couple of passes or sellotape around the button. Works a treat and cannot be seen.
