Hi I have started a volunteer job on an online radio station.. The station have not been going long and needs a bit of help.. I am on air monday 11am - 1pm ish and need a few peeps to maybe phone in or go online forum Able Radio - Unique Live Online Digital Radio Station and put in a few music requests

A bit about the station:

Able Radio is a unique live online digital radio station presenting information and entertainment,
primarily of interest to people with a disability or limiting medical condition. Our programmes are
also of interest to everybody, not just to those with a disability, and within the schedule we hope you
will find a variety of different topics on a daily basis that are of interest to you. From health to disability
sport, no topic is left uncovered! As the only live disability radio station in the UK, Able Radio are offering
the chance to be part of something new, exciting, and above all fulfilling!

As you know I have had a disability for over 2 years now altho I am on my feet more now I have decided to volunteer to help give suport to those in my position when I didnt know where to turn..

So get your arses on there and put in a few requests It will only take a minute of your time I also plan to do an hour comedy/quiz on wednesday lunch time and evening

No need to phone .. you can start a request thread or just join the chat room at the bottom of the forum :D.. most requests are in the chat room as we log all the weekend chat so we can shout requests monday ..

Oh and just to let you know theres gonna be a webcam in the studio soon so you can watch it live :eek: :eek: Im nervous as hell!!

As this radio station is aimed at people with a disability and/or limiting medical condition, AJ will find this very useful. :)

His helper will have to tune it in for him as his problem is mainly mental. Well actually it is all mental.

As someone who used to be on radio Oxford from time to time. I was invited on to do a 15min slot-talking about dog training/behaviour problems, ended up on there for 2 hours answering phone in questions, live with no knowledge of the questions before hand. As luck would have it, no so called friends or family got though on the phone. I went back a few times and have been phoned up to answer questions when a "dog" issue has been on the news.

Anyway take loads of water, and a warm jumper (studio's well the beebs are air cond and are cold), relax, take your time. I slowed my talking down (i am fast talker), use correct english and don't bloody swear.

I shall be joining your facebook page and will be tuning in.

Enjoy yourself.

Aww cheers for the advice :p I can normally talk for Wales but watch me clam up on the day :p As for swearing thats the bit that worries me.. Plus I got a lovely Newport accent (that dont help) :p

C'mon guys I have been set a challenge to get 300 members to join Able Radio - Unique Live Online Digital Radio Station by 6pm tonight .. I managed to recruit 29 since yest we are on 221 members so a way to go :p If I manage this then the station manager will donate £50 to a good charity :D

Hahaha thanks aj you rock! As for the graveyard .. its only been going a few weeks so not bad really .. :p;)
