If it is of any use or interest to anybody, there is a pub with a large car park near me which now has a sign outside advertising MOTORHOME STOPOVERS WELCOME.

The GROUSE INN on the A624 between Glossop and Hayfield . At the top of Chunal hill. About 2 miles out of Glossop . Good views and food in pub reasonably priced.

I found this on another Forum if any one interested.

and this
The Rose Pub at Shotley on the B1456 has now got signs outside saying caravans and motorhomes welcome. They have a newly built restaurant, there is a mini market within a couple of minutes walk, also a pizzeria and a chip shop. The bus stops right outside if you want to go into town or down to the seafront in the other direction. I have no connection to this, just thought I'd mention in the spirit of the first post!

Dear Lord, a landlord with a bit of common sense. Amazing!

Think you may find that they are members of the Motorhome Stopover scheme.

Thanks for the info - I've added both to the POIs :)

The Rose, Shotley, is in Suffolk by the way ...
