Hi folks ,we have a Ford Eton autosleeper 2006...our psu panel only works intermittently..we have tried rebooting but no joy so at the moment no elec...it was ok first thing this morning, but by lunchtime,nothing..I expect it will be ok again tomorrow...any one have any idea what is going on ...thanks in advance

Is there an RCD maybe that could be faulty and tripping out ?

So re-read what you wrote
You have Solar and are on Solar ?
So in the morning the battery is supplying OK then some time later it cuts out and then potentially battery is topped up by charge controller and then works again and then cuts out = faulty battery perhaps? If you are on a recovery plan then the tech folk can test your battery.

I don't think anything is tripping out as the eleccomes on eventually with no interference from us..can the battery overcharge as it is only 12 months old

Do you have anyway of seeing the State of Charge of the battery ? What charge controller do you have as some of the cheaper Chinese ones are known to adversely affect Battery life? I am not suggesting that anything is tripping but rather that the battery cannot power the system.
Have you tried to turn on the engine when the power goes to see then if the alternator supplies current to the Leisure Battery and powers up the System? How many batteries do you have ?
@wildebus is one of the best members with electrical stuff and may be able to advise further though we don't have much to go on yet.

When elec is on the engine battery is showing12.5-13.5 the leasure battery is 12.5-14.2 it seems strange it goes off even when we are not using anything..do you think it might be too highly charged...we had a lot of sun today, when trying the panel about an hour ago all seems well

You can monitor the battery voltage by fitting a fused 12v socket close to the battery and buying a plug in usb charger with voltage display off EBay. That way you have a means of checking the voltage without digging the front seat out and you’ll have somewhere to charge your phone.

Cheers

Sounds like a loose wire somewhere, its disconnecting as you move about the van. Wiggle your battery wires then the others in the panel indivdually.
