I have a Propex for sale..... and this is how I got it and why it is for sale.

I will try and keep this as brief as possible  I got this from my mate a while back because at the time he had this Propex in a box that he had just received back from Propex ltd who had fully reconditioned it at the costly sum of £160 plus postage.. He had it reconditioned after he had taken his Syncro around North Africa and it kept him and his van toastier than a toastie thing in the High Atlas Mountains and in the cold night of the Sahara Desert,

At the time we had a van that ran on LPG and a diesel ebber and he had a diesel van with an lpg Propex so we swapped. The Propex sat in its box for a year or so then I fitted it to my VW 4x4 Westy Syncro last year as it had an underslung LPG tank and I tapped into this and the heater has run perfect ever since. We have camped as a family in temperatures below -9 for days at a time wild camping in the mountains of Wales total self sufficient and very comfortably because of the Propex. It has a thermostat so you can set it as hot as you like and it stays comfortable for you.

I have found some extra ducting, exhaust piping etc that I cant see me ever using so I have included this too as it may give yo more options on where to fit it. I cut the exhaust pipe shortish because I didnt want it being ripped off while driving off road.

I am only selling this as I plan on doing a long trip one day and lpg isnt as available as much in North Africa as it is in the UK/Europe, So I bought and fitted a new ebber. The ebber isnt as warm as the Propex though and the Propex is much more quiet and uses less from the leisure battery.

I connected it up just to show you it works fine like this,

I have extended the feed cable so all you have to do is connect a gas pipe, and the wires that i will label, one to the + and one to the - of the battery.

It can be seen running here, IMG_0841.mp4 video by jedthespread - Photobucket

I want £320 for this plus postage (£18 should cover this)

Pick up from SM1 2HG
