What is the better gas Propane or butane ?
and will my cooker and heater run of either I am not realy bothered about the fridge ( I dont trust gas fridges )

No choice really as Butane will freeze up in cold weather, while propane will still operate, so you have to use propane if you are going to use your m/h in the winter

Not sure you could say one is better than the other, rather they work differently. Butane has a higher calorific value i.e. more heat per Kg. but has a higher "gassing" point at around 0'C so bottles will freeze in cold weather. Propane "gasses" at a much lower temp. so is the better choice if you use it much in cold weather or have a high consumption rate. (rapid draw off will cool the bottle). Your gas equipment should be ok on either, as the regulators are set at different preasures to take into account the different calorific values. 28mb Butane 37mb propane.

By the way not a lot wrong with a properly instaled and maintained gas fridge particularly if you wild camp as electric ones what ever type do draw quite a lot of power.
