Propane gas cylinder query

Hi there.
New to all this and wondering if anyone could tell me how long roughly a 3.9kg cylinder of propane would last running the electrolux fridge and propex blown air heater day and night (presume gas heater safe to use overnight as other members seem to do it). Cooker/water heater would only be used for short bursts. Have to admit only stayed on sites with hookup so far to get used to van and "learn" how to use it so had luxury of oil filled radiator! (as recommended by other members - thanks for that tip). Feeling braver now so looking to start wild camping a bit and it's still pretty cold. Sorry if this is a bit basic. Thanks a lot.:)

I would be surprised if you got more than 2 or 3 days out of it...of course there are still the variable that you can turn thr fridge down when it is cold, but probably use more gas on the heating.

In respect of leaving the heating on overnight there shouldnt be a problem, the flame is enclosed and fumes are vented outside.

Have you thought about an underslung tank and use Autogas instead.

It is not cheap to install but you will get every penny back in the savings you make. It will certainly extend the time you can have off hook up.

we used to have a 13kg red bottle for £16.99 that lasted us 4/5 weeks using every day as we full time we have now installed lpg tank under the floor miles better lots os plus points we carry a red bottle for the bbq though and a just in case lpg runs out in middle of no were we can swap the main inlet to put a bottle inline

Not at this time of year though.

Quite honestly Gairn? Terrace? My uncle lived there, 13. kg. in my very well insulated 'van= 9-14 days. tops.

Best bet is to fill your own bottles.

Thanks for that.
Gas locker seems set up to carry 2 small bottles and unlikely to be away for more than 2-3 days at this stage anyway so will stick with propane for now if a bottle will last at least that long and plenty places to refill although I agree LPG could be cheaper in long term - probably wouldn't get the best use of it just now to justify installation cost and not sure how big a tank you could fit under our vw T4. Something for the next van I suspect....

Just to be on the safe side I would fit a carbon monoxide alarm and smoke alarm. We run our gas heater overnight with no problems.

i do fill my own bottle its very good idea from someone it saves us a fortune in gas for our bbq
