Problems with Truma boiler switch.

Hi to all.
has enyone had the same problem, ive made sure that the boiler has water in it, & ran the taps so all the air is out, the gas is on, and the MH is level, i switch it on to either 50 or 70 then you hear the boiler come on & a few seconds later the light comes on & no hot water.

This sounds like the gas is not getting through and it cuts out on flame failure. Check that you have gas in the bottle and try it a number of times as the gas can be slow to get there.
BTW, you are not using Butane are you because it could be the cold weather affecting the gas.

It could also be the thermocouple has moved or packed in working. The thermocouple is the fine piece of wire that sits in the flame and detects the heat. I am not sure if it is a DIY job though. You willneed a diagram of the Truma to check.

Thirdly, you might have done what I did many times and forgot to take the cover off the exhaust flue.

hi, thanks for getting bk, i've since being out to the MH and as daft as i feel your last one, seems to be at fault alls working fine. But i do use propain when im in the alps skiing mainly for the cold & not frezzing.

If people on here are honest, they will all own up to doing the same thing.

You will fit in well here, we are all numpties. :D
