Problem with Beko / Flavel LPG cookers - 18 people die

I heard the news, without really listening and didn't consider the cooker in the truck. So, checked thanks. It's a Montpellier.

i put one of these cookers in my daughter's van ,can't remember what year , and converted it with the lpg kit supplied . got the first product recall notice not long after and cut away some of the rubber seal. got regular notices off Beko up till quite recently ,so they gave it a good shot .

I do wish they would standardised the operation of cookers.
Anita has (had) an electric oven with grill. So not keeping a good eye on the cooking with the door open I managed to set the door seal on fire!! Only to be told amongst other things to keep the door shut.
As punishment I bought a new cooker for her. Reading the manual it said keep the door shut.
Eye level grills were so much better.
The range master cooker in Murky has a grill above the oven and I cook with the door open, but you do get hot knobs.
