Practical items for camping—a diesel heater

And you seriously don't think that goes, on across pretty much every single item you buy....

From the motorhome/campervan to the Blue box bits that we install....

All I'm saying is you view is blinkered somewhat IF you insist that a £100 Chinese diesel heater is made to the same standard as a eberspacher unit....

Or a ebay MPPT controller compared to, a Victron MPPT.

It's really not that simple....

Fortunately we the consumers have choice.... And no one is currently holding guns against, out heads to buy one over another.
"Nowhere have i said they are made to the same standard I said the "biggest" corner cut was the price. I did not say there were no other corners cut. Please respond to what I actually write and not what you assume I mean.

Having worked in the R&D lab at Holset Engineeing Huddersfield (Cummins Turbos) some 17 years ago we got a batch of Chinese copies to test. Every one of them was bang on point in both materials used and tolerances and could be bought for a third of the price.

Your view is also somewhat blinkered if you assume the Chinese do not make things of equal quality for greatly reduced prices.

As for Victron where do you think most of their products are made. China,India,Malaysia.Sweden So I would think it is quite possible for them to end up on Ebay under a different guise and far cheaper. There is evidence suggesting that Fangpusun may have copied the design and even used the same internal components, possibly even using the same manufacturers.

But as you say importantly we have the choice.
I am done.

Although we are primarily a motorhome/campervan site all are welcome.

Many of us have Diesel heaters fitted in our vans in fact I have just had one fitted - obviously I've not had a chance to use it yet due to the weather but I'm confident it will be effective.

A quick Google search tells me that you have joined other groups today with the same intro - do I feel a sell coming on?

Forgive me if I'm wrong but it happens a lot. :)
Hey, Bro. I understand your sensitivity. Actually, I am just sharing the diesel heater things I know.I hope everyone pays more attention to whether content itself is useful. If it is useful to somebody, it is worth sharing.
