I remember these. My dad had one for his own small business at the time.
Don't hold your breath though. We have lost count of the various Welsh Government funded 'initiatives' that fizzle out after 18 months.

Spyware site, blocked. 😂

As mentioned above, the same increasingly tired and tatty looking prototypes have been doing the rounds for at least five years so some of the technology could already be quite dated, the price was in VW buzz territory, it just seems to be a permanent non starter which is a shame because it’s quite cute

It’s also a very small van, might make a good WAV though

We were staying on a pub car park near Harrogate in 2019 when we saw this van. It was on its way to take part in a tv program.

The web site is lacks any form of useful technical info, not even battery capacity and motor output iirc.
The original prototypes had the now almost obsolete Chademo rapid charge protocol so hopefully this will become CCS on the production models.

I do wonder if the recent budget announcement will damage peoples perception of EVs though especially the business users.
The chancellor has qualified it a bit by saying the average Ice vehicle is paying around 60p per litre in fuel duty and therefore pro rata most, unless doing incredible mpg, pay a lot more per mile but the press haven't really covered that.

The iconic vw transporter now has an electric version. It has also now produced the electric version of the camper van, I have only seen one and they are very expensive but I would love one.

Some would say the iconic transporter no longer exist, and they probably are making a reasonable point.
On the other hand, there are now 2 bases for a camper, the Transporter and the Multivan which the current California is based on.
Or 3 bases if you include the ID Buzz

AFAIK it's a Ford in new clothes.

The problem with comparing ICE and EV fuel costs is the variable cost of charging an EV

At home on an EV tarriff = £0.07 per kwh
At home on a domestic tariff = £0.30 per kwh
Commercial tariff at some outlets = £0.00 per kwh
Commercial tariff at most outlets = £0.70 to £1.00 per kwh
