Porto Pirtugall, from Rio Tinto Venda Nova

WE wanted to visit Porto when in Portugal ,and found there was a Squat at the P n R at RIO TINTO ,Venda Nova at the Metro Station so we found our way there,The parking is right opposite the station, the parking is busy so it pays to arrive later in the day as the Metro is well used N41*10.495' W008*32.491 you will get a spot eventually, we moved 3 times and finally got the spot we wanted,GOING TO PORTO you take the Orange line from VENDA NOVA[ your parking place ]for TRINDADE , this is the optimum stop for the centre of Porto, You MUST be on a train marked for SENHORA DE HORA from the outset .get your tickets from the vending machine at the station, returns available YOU NEED ZONE 3 we paid too much Euro 6-10 each but this turned out to be for a 24 hour ticket so we should have got a cheaper one , [ hindsite Eh? ] For return you get the train same station you got off at .You now need the ORANGE LINE again for FRANERES TERMINAL but get off at Venda Nova where you got on, BE SURE to DONK the tickets at a DONKING machine BEFORE boarding the trains as this starts the clock running this is probably how our trains in the UK operate, I never use them so I do not know. The train journey is about 35 minutes as you are quite a way from the City centre,
Porto is a lovely City on a steep hill much to see and the river side is great DOURO RIVER, have fun .
