Porth Maddog

Off to Porth maddog tomorrow (Friday ). Be in the area about a week, Hopefully a couple of nights at the pub and then iether wild or inthe camp site at the end of the beach.
Anyone around then? Hope to meet other wilders to have a chat or drink.

Hi Ian,
I was interested to see your avitar of a man in service dress. Is iot you?
I joined the army ay 15 and we then had to wear service dress with peaked cap untill we were 17 and a half. then we changed to battle dress and blues. LOL

If You're going to Porthmadogg watch out for the speed cameras as the operators hide behind walls, hedges etc, I was given 3 points and £60 fine for doing 35mph, before anyone says anything I know I was speeding. Just a bit of advice.

yeah i live in north wales not far from portmadog and its a police state as regards speeding goe's.

watch out for the arrive alive vans there everywhere!!!!!

Go Safe, used to be Arrive Alive vans are all over the place in North Wales. Often parked in the middle of a row of parked cars, the rear of the transit over the top of cars, can also point out of side of van.

I've parked my van in front of them before now, perfectly legally in a parking space.

They've use a horse box before now.

I hope I'm not speaking too soon but around 1989 the only time I earned 3 points and a £25 fine for speeding was in a village in Wales on the A499, Llanaelhaearn. I was caught doing 45 mph in a 30 limit, the cop was hiding behind the bus stop. Here's the irony, I was rushing to get to the wedding of a Police Woman friend of mine in Pwllheli, I told the Cop this but it didn't help, he still gave me the ticket and I was late for the wedding.
