After driving back from the June meet in pain... ive come to the conclusion that i need a portable hand controlled gear lever.

My problem is i have a little old bambi with manual gearbox and my left knee is just about knackered so driving for any length of time is really painful.

Ive searched the internet and it seems most portable hand controls are for automatic transmission and are quite expensive.

Ive just found the wonderful world of wilding and dont want to give it up, I cant afford a new van with automatic transmission so Im looking for anyone with any ideas or know how to overcome this problem or i think im going to be limited to the distance im able to travel and now ive learnt to fly so to speak i dont want my wings clipping...!!!!!!

hi you need to google vehvac .auto clutch. also known as click n go. i have one fitted on my vw lt .works a treat . not cheap .but can be removed from vehicle and fitted in another .not easy though . but have a look . recomend them for anyone with a weak leg .brilliant bit of kit .and cheaper very often than having auto.
vehicle can be driven as a normal vehicle if wanted .

ok alan just a stupid idea as the bambi has a basic motorbike 1000cc engine fit standard motorbike clutchlever on gear change so pullin when changing gear same a motorbike as circumference is near enough the same as handlebars daisy please ignore this post just me throwing around ieas

hi. not sure how much pressure the bambi clutch as. if its hard for a leg might be hard for a hand .
i do know the leccy one on mine is either a flic switch or does it automaticaly .
even bigger m,bikes have hydraulic clutches as the pressure is alot.
might work .go on give it a try and let us know .

was just a thought trying to help out throwing ideas around as she doesnt want to give it up
