Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced pop out/up sat nav CD DAB radio.
My current basic radio CD player has decided it don't like CDs anymore, so looking for a sub £200 unit that has DAB radio facility, as we get better reception using our portable DAB plugged in to the "Aux in" on the van radio.

Thanks.

Just keep clear of the cheap unbranded chinease radios that are all over eBay, pay a bit more and buy a branded radio

Cd players are a thing of the past ,bit like 8 track, new radios have usb port for music back play,in fact i have a little unit which plugs into cigy and transmits music to a given frec on radio, cost £5 many moons back from ebay china.

'er indoors has many music CD's that she uses in her fitness classes, she works out her lesson plans whilst listening to the CD's, so until she gets with the memory stick thing, CD's will be played :)

Just rip them to mp3 or flac, takes up a lot less space in the van ;)

Regards,
Del

Well that did not work well

So I ordered this
7" HD Detachable 1 DIN Car Sat Nav Headunit DVD CD Stereo DAB+ Digital Radio GPS | eBay
Dismantled the dash to fit in the unit and all the sensors and aerials only to find out the unit had faults, ranging from switching itself on and off intermittently, GPS sometimes working and other times would not find one satellite, and the sat nav voice had a bad case of a stutter.
Total install took me all day Monday :( so not happy, as I spent the other day I had off work putting back the old radio unit which has a broken CD player.
I requested a return and back it goes. :)
The other problem was with the pop out screen would catch the dash (Ducato flip up with clip), I had found a way round this but the other faults were too much.

I will be reverting to a standard one din unit, but with DAB, CD and Bluetooth.

something to also be aware off .... the Pop-out screens do have a tendency to wobble so using one as a Sat-Nav display could induce a touch of sea-sinkness with the roads constantly bobbing up and down :boat:

Been there done that hence the reason for my earlier post saying avoid the cheap Chinese ones

If you have a Fiat base vehicle then cut the rest of the dash out and fit a Double Din cage you then have a choice of Sat Navs. I have a Blaupunkt 945 fitted with remote display on right hand side. The remote is also used by reverse camera. Android based so you can also add extra apps such as speed display in nice large numbers. You can also add your favourite Sat Nav app so I also have CoPilot Truck as well as IGO Truck. Plays music etc and you can get a DAB module which works very well. Also plays CD’s. Bought mine from Germany through EBay a couple of years ago.
