Steve gearbox does not require removed for 5th gear end plate comes off for renewal

Hope you’re right Steve Cos I’ve no had a drink for ages dose that mean I’m due a good one. I ran a sprinter for years wae a dodgy gearbox was quoted daft money to fix it I never got fixed and it ran for another three years until I stuck a magnet to its roof. So don’t rush in take your time in getting it replaced

Ouch £!, shame it wasn't a fiat 'box, £50 job. Any reason why it had failed? As you said, if you think of the cost split over the years you've had it and will have it for, then more bearable

+ VAT, sadly if your VAT registered, like me, then you've got to be a tax collector on behalf of the Government. and the Gov don't even pay you for all the work you do for THEM! And now MTD is coming in.... more cost to me :mad2: (rant over)

Jesus, the cogs must be really cheap....

Anyway, it drives really nice so can't moan too much!
