Polls-poor response

Considering that some of the readers here are VERY opinionated, why do the polls get a very poor response?

Maybe we should have a poll to see if anyone wants to have polls???

Are they asking the right questions, maybe they're not controversial enough!!

The polls seem to get 50-100 responses.

Not bad as the site is probably kept going by 200 regulars or so.

Total membership figures for forums are generally misleading.

is there any purpose in the polls .?thats what possibly doesnt help. cant see the point of most of them. bit like the last one . whats going to happen in the end . never have liked polls .

Polls? What polls? :)

When you think that the election turnout avaraged 30% only. I reckon the return on the polls here is pretty good.

In Australia we have compulsory voting, which at least gets us the government we deserve for a short period of time. I just wish there was box labelled "None of the *******s are good enough for my vote", plus maybe a box to "Dismiss the encumbent" - that would focus them on their job if they could be sacked without pension rights!!!

I hate politicians.

Perhaps you've heard of the Spooky Men's Chorale... "Vote the B******S out" is one of my favourite tracks...

Nothing wrong with the Poles.

Hard workers and quite cheerful people.

Dancing around them can be fun, and good exercise I'm told??

are we talking north poles or south poles. perhaps we should have a trip and investigate . i seen some of them pole dancers . must be hot where they are from as they dont wear much clothing. perhaps its an equater pole.

As Ronald Reagan is reputed to have been translated whilst in Poland - "The only good Pole is dead a Pole" - from "The only good poll is a deed poll".

Yeah, the Poles are alright mate.

Them Aussies is a different matter.

But....they serve a good pint if you are in London. :lol-049:

I stayed near Earls Court for a while (when I was appearing at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden). Had many a night out in the pubs there and as you say, it was usually an Aussie pulling the pints.

There were also some Kiwis there as well and to be honest, I would say that the Kiwis are a more well balanced lot than the Aussies.

Because they had a chip on both shoulders. :lol-049:

Only joking bud.

What do you call an Aussie with a glass of finest Champagne in his hand?

A waiter!!

The only time you ever appeared at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden was when the outside needed painting.

Dezi:banana:

Pah, you lot will be laughing on the other sides of your faces soon as the Aussie invasion gets underway - UK pound is now 30% cheaper to buy than it was about 5 years ago, so UK holidays are back on the agenda.

the uk is possiby the best place its ever been in my working life. its possibly the cheapest place in europe. just a shame we have to go away in winter to be warm. but then we can buy cheap wine etc and bring it back. i,m still on spanish diesel . good job i use a m,bike alot or i would have to buy expensive fuel for the truck. but france isnt cheap either.
