Really. And no apologies if this has been stated elsewhere.

Canalsman, if you were a woman I'd marry you. But you're not so we're both safe. (right?)

The amount of work in this thing is awesome and is then surpassed by the thoroughness with which it's done.

Just one teeny-tiny thing: How can I get it on my iPhone? Must be via Google Earth, somehow... Any suggestions please?

Thanks for the compliment, Jimmy ... (And yes - you're safe :D)

Regarding your iPhone, I'd take a look here Google for iPhone

I assume that you can transfer the KML file to your phone by some means, of course ...

That's where I'm getting stuck. I have many of my own saved maps on Google Earth on my iPhone, they are synced from my Google account. When I attempt to make a new map, importing your kml file, however, it doesn't happen (Error reads: "We could not finish uploading your file.").

There must be a way, though and I'm sure it would be a good thing to have.

Er... Scratch that last Reply. Just checked again and it works fine on the iPhone.

Thanks again, Canalsman. This will take Jaunting to new and further joys for me and many others for sure.

I'll send a few of my own, soon as.

Agreed :) Just start to cover the mainland now :) (aka Europe)

And don't tell anyone the gems bar me. Okay?

p,s Canalsman has done a great job for sure

how did you get it to work on the iphone?

In Google Maps (not Google Earth), on my desktop, I made a new map in My Maps - then imported the KML file into that map. Later, the map appeared in the list of My Maps in Google Earth on my iPhone. On both devices I had to be logged in to my Google account.

I should add that I had some trouble importing the KML file and that some of the waypoints do not show on the iPhone... also that I have tried to replicate the method without success. So it's a bit er, elusive so far. But it's do-able

Sounds like a synchronisation problem to me, particularly if points appear on your PC but not on the iPhone ...

Dunk/Jimmy

If you can work out a foolproof way of doing this, please let me know.

I'll include your instructions with the next readme file.

Many thanks

Chris
