I don't recognise the numbers ...

None of the POI locations have numbers.

Thanks Annie. I've located them now, though I don't know where the numbers come from.

I have put a cautionary note on all the POIs at Staffin about the awkward bridge.

The Ellishadder spot looks OK to me - as ever people need to park making allowance for other vehicles.

The numbers are on the WC maps on my iPad when you click on a poi you get the little info bit then click on the ? Mark at too of page which brings up poi info St the bottom it says tap here for more info. When you tap it opens a new page with

In General the South of England is difficult.
Europe is easier Thus my POIs are..
I exclude Aires/Stellplatz although these are good and we prefer the Rough and Ready locationss

So formal camping in Switzerland is costly but there are free areas

Hej Chris, mina tankar för vad de är värda. Jag håller med om allt ovan, särskilt att besöka en plats personligen. Det enda jag vill lyfta fram är platskoordinater. Jag har tre format på min satellitnavigator, vilket är vad jag skulle använda om det faktiskt fanns på platsen. De är alla lite olika med grader och ' och ''. Av någon anledning har min satellitnavigator som standard ett något annat format än det föreslagna. Problem?

If you click on a location icon in the Location App, the pop-up will display coordinates in both decimal degrees and degrees, minutes, seconds. You can also go to the POI Downloads menu option above to download a set of files for use with Garmin or TomTom satnavs or with Google Earth.

One serious item is missing from the list Canalman: passing places. We got a string of them removed from a road up the High Peaks years ago and on a trip to Bute this Spring again all the passing places on a single track road to the ferry at the North of the island were listed as over night stops. Nothing maddens the locals more than that.
