Please Help. Insurance Prob's.

Hi All
Iv'e posted a similar request on the moter home fun site so if like me you read twice I apologise.
We are about to purchase a Chevrolet Rockwood. The vendor suggested we insured through his last insurer Bakers of Cheltnham. The quoted me £900 but withdrew the quote when they realised that we would be living in the vehicle full time. Was I being too honest? We will have an address in England, my brothers, they also said that we couldn't use someone elses address. Has any one especially full timers had similar problems and what did you do? Can any one recommend an insurance company that will look after us?

All I can say is you cant be too honest has you have illustrated.

Imagine you had been economical with the facts and had a claim ??? Non starter.

Insurance is a contract of utmost good faith i.e all material facts disclosed which may or may not influence premium or indeed as you have illustrated an insurer to accept risk.

I guess your potential purchase is an American RV which rules out a lot of insurers.

I cant offer you a solution other than is their a website for your chosen model and peeps there that can offer guidance.?

That is the route I would go
