can anyone recommend a stop over in Anglesey and also any must see attractions with two young children in tow

I stopped at the Bull Bay Hotel (near Amlwch) car park just before Easter this year. Lovely welcome and good food. It's on the POI list.

Things to see;

Sea Life Museum & the adjacent Farm theme park

Sea birds & cliffs at South Stack

Light house at Lynas Point

Boat trips to Puffin Island (seals & birds)

Trwyn Ddu lighthouse (right by Puffin Island)

Red Wharf Bay (huge sandy bay with pools for paddling & swimming)

Beaumaris for Prison Museum, Castle & crabbing off the pier (plus boat trips)

Pringles factory outlet shop at Llanfair P G

Llandwynn Island (long walk thro Newborough Forest to beautiful nature reserve)

Layby off old A5 overlooking the Swellies (about 2 -3 hours after HW is best) between the 2 bridges.

All the East coast for fabulous beaches

Camaes Bay for Bird Sanctuary

Just so much, I hope that helps a little, Tourist Info places have loads of info.

Don't forget RAF Valley for some fast jet action or possibly a sighting of Flt Lt William Wales.

Lligwy Beach

Try this lovely spot for a couple of nights. During the week out of season they don't collect the fee. At weekends and during the summer holidays, they open the shop/cafe and the toilets. Then they do collect the fee.

Llanddona beach is an excellent spot, but be aware of the hill / width of the lane down / up.
I have seen several vehicles stuck or almost on fire!!!
Last time I was there I saw a car with auto trans fluid poring out about half way up the hill... eek!!
