I've been pondering this scenario and I think Mr Moho acted with his heart instead of his head. I reckon he saw a farmer coming down the track and thought he would do the polite thing and let the working man pass, I can not envisage another scenario that would leave Mr Moho in that position.

Shame if that's what happened as his friendly gesture turned into a ball ache for the working farmer and life shafted the good guy again!
