Walked from Elie to Anstruther today. Took these shots in Pittenweem and St Monans today. The second photo over looking Pittenweem was taken from the car park now opened to five motorhomes overnight.

So many head up the west coast forgetting this true gem of a place, and almost midge free to boot Terry.
Edit, we got the bus back from Pittenweem, not Anstruther, as time was marching on and getting dark (was winter) I can recommend the good fare served at the Larachmhor Tavern, located at the Pittenweem Harbour, very yummy!

We have it good Bill, east coast during midge season, west coast when they slumber. Hate them!!

We are heading here for week 1 of August between the two Scotland rugby games.
Thanks for the heads up.

My Parents stay in Kirkcaldy and my niece in St Monans but I’ve never explored the area with the camper. Will be on the list when our next van comes along.
Great photos as always Bill👌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It's worth the 6 mile drive from Kirkcaldy to Burntisland to stop next to the leisure centre with the view over the bay.
Some of us have the view over the bay without the 6 mile drive, Jo :ROFLMAO:. Well, we did, until the bloody Summer Fair arrived ... [Sets satnav for Elie Bay ...]

Isn't there a bit of an obstruction in the form of a raised railway line in the way?

A very mild one, Jo, but nothing to compare with the 'Old Boot' Bouncy Castle ... :ROFLMAO:. In case you hadn't guessed, I'm not a fan of the Fair, nor of the Showmen's Guild!

We would have scarpered off in Brunhilde to escape the Fair, but Elaine decided to have her turn in the Cardiology Unit last week ... Back at home now, with her own set of heart pills, awaiting Outpatient Tests, including angiogram, so that's the Summer Trip to France definitely ruled out! The Winter Sun Trip might also be under pressure!

Bill, I forgot to mention, the amount of times I have driven along the coast road and looked towards the windmill, it was during our coastal path walk we came to the windmill, and the old salt pans, where the windmill was used to pump sea water into the salt pans.

An interesting part of our history.

We got inside the windmill three years ago Terry.
