Over the last few months i've been on here, i've been noticing some of the excellent quality photographs in the photo section.
What make & model of camera does everyone use, compact, SLR, digi or 35mm, etc ??

I use a small inexpensive digitail camera Jeff just put it onto auto
and let it do it's thing its only 2.5 m/pixells but as u can see by my posts
it does the job

The thing that I don't like with any of the Digital cameras that I've used is the shutter delay.
The expensive ones seem to be alright but I couln't justify spending £300 or more on a camera

hi ive just bought a new lead for my camera today so i am now able to download my pics to the computer so hopefully i will be able to post a few shots on now as soon as i crack how to do it:confused: :D

cheers she wants front wheel arches tidying realy but i must confess it was my daughter that got the pic on just to see if it works so i will have to learn myself now   :D :D

mandrake

Nice bedford cf mate, had many of them .Good to see them being looked after.

photos

We use a fuju finepix s6500ffd,but usually have to crop them as pixels to high for site ,but if you are doing photos just for site, can lower the pixels on the camera just before you take the photo_Other wise, just use my nokia camera phone.

I've just ordered a Fuji Finepix S5700, 7 meg & 10 X Zoom. £111 from Amazon.
I normally use a Vivitar 5 meg Compact, but because the lens are small on compacts they are rubbish at low light & flash stuff, and the shutter lag is really annoying.
I'm hoping this Fuji bridge type camera will be a lot better.

Hi Jeff, ive owned a few Fuji Finepix, the last one i had was the S9500 and was a brilliant camera, before that i also had the S5700 again another good camera with lots of options you can mess around with if you want or you can just put it on auto and away you go :D

hi i use a premier ds 5080 5 mega pixel i got from tesco for the princley sum of 20 quid 2 years ago i still prefer my 35 m slr ive had for years only trouble you carnt download to the computer with those things but at least with a 1gig memory card in you can take as many pics as you want and it dont cost for processing i suppose

Hi SL
I was advised to buy either the 9500 or 9600, but they were just too bulky for me, almost as bulky as a DSLR, and twice the weight of the 5700. They are obviously better spec & better quality lens, but size & weight of a camera is a big issue to me as i go camping on my bike to bike rallies.
Good to know that you still rate the 5700 though.

Canon

I use a Canon Powershot A 520.:D
Only 4 mega Pixels, 4 x optical zoom, total zoom is x14.
When I purchased it I was told that the lens quality is a higher priority than the number of Mega pixels and unless I wanted to blow up larger than A4 size, this camera would do all!
I do not post pictures, but a not insignificant number of Sammclouis photo's were shot with my camera without any complaints;)
I am very happy with it!
