phone signal in Scotland

Come next year I hope to be touring Scotland, can anyone tell me what the O2 signal is like there. I am an avid photographer and would like to be able to update my blog on a daily basis, I appreciate in the more remote area’s you probably wont have any signal. I have tried searching the web for a map of o2’s coverage but no luck so far.

Not sure about O2 but we have 3 mobile which I believe is on the same signal. We have very little problem in getting a signal, although in the mountains it is a bit dodgy - you just need to move down a bit sometimes. We use the 3 dongle and although it can be a slightly slow it is perfectly adequate to communicate with the office.

I'm on O2 and have rarely had a problem. Except in Applecross village when you have to walk up to the mast to get a signal..

hi there 02 has a good signal most places in scotland but it is a GSM signal in some places whitch is slow (im on it now 6.4kbs) not fast but will do the trick if you dont download big files.;)

O2 still lacks coverage in whole chunks of Dumfries and Galloway, where Vodafone out-performs the other networks, and although 3 and Orange are not too bad here, they are still patchier than Vodafone.

Last summer, when travelling the west coast, it was rare not to get a Vodafone signal but my friend's O2 was variable.

when we go anywhere we take 02 &virgin mobiles . my phone is unlocked so i have a 3 sim i take with us just incase of emergency, we used to be on orange whitch was good also but we seldom get probs now.
