The van starts really well and will run for 5 or 6 miles then suddenly lose power or stop often, but not always the ECU warning light comes on. The engine will restart but appears to miss-fire and sounds 'rattley'. AA man suspected EGR valve (it isn't fitted with one!), we have run with valve cleaner in the fuel but the problem comes back when the engine in warm (no overheating) - could there be a short in the injector loom or a transducer failure? - our local garage is defeated.
