Typically 1.4€ or more. Motorways, we didn't fill can be near 1.6€ PER LITRE. Bonkers prices.

If you're anywhere near Luxembourg on the East side well worth nipping over it's only about 1.11€

I dunno how they put up with it.

With the k'nacked exchange rate at the minute you don't need much more than to think close to 1:1. The difference between France / Lux can be more than £1.50 a Gallon !

Here in our part of Brittany, diesel prices are between €1.39 and €1.42 at supermarkets. We never buy fuel on motorways, either here or in the U.K. at their inflated prices.
Up until last week, we were just a bit cheaper than the U.K. ( we get a good exchange rate for our Euros), but now with the £ dropping even further, UK fuel will be cheaper for the first time ever ( probably)

Around 1.40/42 in France then around 1.28, cheap; 1.32 often , 1.42 sometimes!! Around Aachen/ Mainze
