We are due to do a bit of camping in Holland and beyond in the next couple of weeks. We are sailing in and out of The hook of Holland. Can any one recommend a vet to administer the treatments needed to get my little Jack Russell "Skew" back into the country afterwards. I have spoken to one vet there and he quoted me 90 euros, this is for giving him a worming tablet and tick treatment. 90 euros is more than we intend to spend for 10 nights sleeping. But............. they know you will pay!!

Sadly I think you may have problems. Phone around and ask, but they know you either pay up or don't get the passport!

I hope you prove me wrong!

We took our dog with us to France for the first time earlier this month, and we were a little uncertain how we would go on with the Pet Passport. Our first night in France was near Verdun, and whilst walking round the village the following morning we found a small vets on the main st. We went in and asked if they would be able to do what was required for the passport on our return trip. The said they could and we booked our dog in for the morning prior to us crossing back home.

We figured if they hadn't done a passport check before they would have nearly 2 weeks to do the required research as to what was needed. As it turned out they had done it all before and everything passed without a hitch. We were charged $48 Euros.

Before we left home we did some research as to what was needed and managed to download and print of a long list in both English and French to make the booking in process easier with the receptionist who could not speak English, although the vet spoke very good English.

We also went with the prior knowledge that the closer you get to the port or coast, the more you will be charged.

No good for you but we use one near Disneyland Paris and its costs 35Euro per dog.

Its 3 hours from there to the Ferry so we always use Disney as a stop of each way for the Kids.
