There's a large car park down by the bridge in the centre of town often has a motorhome or two on it.


There's also a layby a short distance before you get to Peebles, overlooking a lovely stretch of water. Next to Nut Wood, map ref is 55.533695,-3.098771

Thanks for the suggestions. Sadly the car park has a 1.5 ton limit on it, looking at Streetview.

The Nut Wood layby coordinates are not correct - they should be 55.633956,-3.099015 ...

Sorry,, Phil, those 1.5t signs must have been put up since we went there - I know there was always one large motorhome there, probably belonged to a resident! Also, the Nut Wood co-ords - I just looked at co-ords on top of screen, and must have clicked on a different bit of car park - lovely spot though.
