Peace and quiet at Santuario de Nuestra

Friends took us to Santuario de Nuestra

Señora del Saliente, Carretera A- 7100 - El Saliente Alto, s/n, 04800 Albox, Almería, Spain yesterday. Apparently it's part of the Pilgrim route. Spectacular views and so quiet. There is a restaurant as well which unfortunately was closed. They do get bus loads of people up there probably mainly at weekends, but there was no one when we went. You would be able to park overnight as there is plenty of parking. Would be at night for star gazing. Sorry about the sideways photo.

There's a main road to get there via Albox. We went round the mountains part of the road was via a rambla. Apparently if you like churches, the inside of the one at Oria is spectacular - on a par with some of the best cathedrals. Unfortunately it was closed when we were near it.
