Passport

Talking to my brother in Oz, he asked if GB were giving a passport extension seeing as lockdown curtailed overseas travel. I hadn't given it any thought till now but I now think it is a reasonable question to ask.

I’d think an extension is very unlikely. Firstly because some people are still using them and secondly because of the difficulties in getting any extension recognised in countries worldwide.

I would be satisfied if they would revert to adding the unused period of time to the renewed passport like they used to do. The removal of this facility was rather sneaky I thought.

Also don't forget that some countries require a minimum of 6 months left on passport, and in a few months this will apply to EU as well.
