The bye laws posted in the car park prohibit camping or sleeping in vehicles. There's a ranger residence nearby so you'd probably get moved on

Stayed in Parsley Hay car park on Sunday night. Arrived there about 7pm, left again about 7:30am. The car park was deserted the whole time we were there, we weren't bothered or disturbed at all. A pleasant place to spend the night.
I suspect it will be more closely monitored during peak holiday season, though. Mind you, the byelaws posted state that 'vehicles may not be left overnight' - our prepared defence was that we never left our vehicle!!
