have u had problems parking motor home in small bays have found some areas if u talk to attendant ok but some will give u ticket if overhang outside of bay also notice more car parks stating no motor homes

not had any probs with getting tickets for overhanging but find it hard to find spaces as i need two spaces length to get in between parked cars.have stopped trying mostly and we use places like tescos or asda and use two spaces they dont seem to have any height restrictions either but you are limited to how long you can stay.

Requirements for parking wholly within a bay and/or purchasing multiple tickets were included in the questions I asked of local authorities when building the Motorhome Parking web site.

There's a fair bit of variation between different authorities but all the information (with the exception of half a dozen councils still to reply) can be found at www.motorhomeparking.co.uk

Parking Bays

When we stopped in Christchurch Nr Bournemouth we got a ticket in our Winnebago (which took up two bays!) I wrote to their council and was told there was a sign (which we didn't see) saying larger vehicle should park in the coach bays!... Now if I had parked a motorhome in a coach bay what's the betting there would have been a sign I didn't see saying 'Coaches only'!?!

When I was running my coverted Bedford Rascal I dident have any problem at all parking ;)
