So some people think a Fiat 500 and a Mini are large motorhomes. At least the VW is a motorhome may be not large though 😜,🤷‍♂️

Simple answer , strip them of their vehicle and licence and the roads will soon flow a bit better 👍

We get that here two in Newcastle co down, last week a BMW & AUDI were parked in m home spaces in central car park.

Often is a bit ambiguous in car parks which have dedicated motorhome spaces . No indication that motorhomes can't park in normal spaces .

Very true. But I expect you can if you fit within the boundaries of the parking space?

But then overnighting rules come into play as well...

If there are motorhome spaces usually (I think) overnighting restrictions are not mentioned .
If that is the case and , usually, I can fit into a normal bay , I assume it is ok to stay the night .

The last time we visited Stratford upon Avon most of the dedicated motorhome bays were taken up with cars even though the main car park was less than half full

Now come on Richard 🤪 how on earth do you expect the car drivers to see the motorhome bay signage when they have their faces struck to their mobile phones twittering, twottering, twattering or whatever they are doing on them as they drive in o_O

NOt exactly full of large motorhomes , Their are mutch worse parking offences such as parking in blue badge bays , worst culprits parking illegally by parents on the school run , parking on pavement blocking access for disabled and blind .

Or read another way, might it mean that within the NT property, this is the only location that large Motorhomes May park?

Davy
I guess it could , with a comma:

Large Motorhome parking,
only in this area,
Thank you

OR

Large Motorhome
parking only,
in this area
Thank you

However with the layout of the car park, this is the only area large motorhomes would have a chance to park, so maybe:

Restricted to Large
Motorhome
parking only,
in this area
Thank you

So it would be clearer for 'Small car syndrome'

Ah yes .............................................................. but would it then be half full or half empty

If we know where it is then we can Google earth the NT property car park from a birds eye view and interpret what the request means. It might be that large motorhomes would be unable to manoeuvre in other parking areas.

As it is I may be right or wrong but I would not classify the MH in the image as large so it could park anywhere.

Now if it was a tag axle or something like below then maybe.

Been there but not with motorhome. Nice spot. Cafe a bit overpriced fish and chips around £15 from memory.

Check Google earth and note how busy it is with field mentioned above open and full. Motorhomes all parked in upper field around edge when busy so I guess NT direct them here on these occasions.

No overnight parking of course unfortunately as NT.

If only lower car park open then sign makes sense as the area in the corner is the only area where large motorhomes could reasonably manoeuvre without the risk of damaging other vehicles. Given that it is used exclusively for motohomes of course which in this case it is not!

Car park usually manned by NT staff as they have hut there and as they have put a sign out it must have been manned on the occasion of yeoblade’s visit.
So a bit puzzled that they were not preventing cars from parking in that area. Sign should be clearer that it is large motorhomes only.

As an aside you can walk west along the shoreline under the cliffs at low tide, or over the top otherwise, to the campsite. We did this and checked prices. £60 a night in high season for a MH with 2 adults, more if you are a family, and it was full!

So won’t be stopping there!
