Park & Ride in France and Spain

We were wondering if there was Park and Ride schemes similar to ours in both France and Spain and if so what are the called?

I have never seen PnR in those Countries, parking is generally so easy there that it has never been a problem anywhere I went, including parking on pedestrian crossings, never figured what they were for LOL

I've seen it in France. Avignon has a free park & ride with fast buses to the entrance to the city walls. There's also a free Aire with max 24hr stay within the P&R. I overnighted there earlier this year and it was a really pleasant experience. I'm sure it was signposted "Park & Ride" with the usual P&R signage.
