Where and who should put a value on a van conversion. ...?

And where to insure with no changes to log book ? With said documents.?

Look round at other vans up for sale Jeff and take it from there. If you look at enough it will give you some idea of the value of yours.

Jeff I got cover from AIB with an agreed valuation amount for a van in mid conversion. They give you 180 days to have the log book changed to either a van with windows or motor caravan. They were very helpful and a decent price as well.

I’ve been with Adrian Flux since conversion. During this time the actual insurance company has changed. There was no time limit on the conversion. They just wanted a value from me which I gave as the value of the van and all the parts I put in. Some do add in their work etc. For a few years I did pay additionally for agreed value. I got the impression this was a separate top up policy. They wanted receipts and pictures before agreeing the value.
