Not sure if this has been posted, but if you live in Kent or South East you might be interested in this 1day return trip to France with 6 free bottles of wine for £24 cars only. Not bad for a day out in your car in France, get a spot of lunch at wissant, stock up on wine (fill your boot) and the 6 bottles of free wine are apparently valued at £30 so in effect your journey is free. A shame, but I live too far away to make it pay, but if I lived in Kent I'd be over there to stock up on wine. See link below. Still 11 days left to book A ticket.

I live 200 miles from Dover but I use offers like this and still make it pay, I buy at least 200ltrs of wine but sometimes 300ltrs if Maggy goes with me, my Fiat Panda with the top box on costs £60 in fuel to get to Calais and back, £24 for the Ferry and I buy lots of other bargains at the same time, 200ltrs of wine fits in the top box along with 30 bottles of Sangria for my next door neighbour, 8x24 bottles of beer in the rear footwells and any other shopping in the boot or the back seat, the car still handles well and sits well on the road, it is a long day but worth it if I have not been to France for some time

200ltrs of wine and 30 bottles of Sangria in a top box on a Panda :scared:

Have you any idea how much that weighs ? ........................ you`re a braver ( or dafter ) person that me.

It was 11.00pm when I posted and I had spent most of the evening trying to get rid of some of my wine rations :dog:, I meant 100ltrs in the top box, (that is still heavy and slightly more than the recommendation) but it is in 5ltr boxes and the Sangria is in plastic bottles, I put enough weight in the bottom to stop it falling over on corners and I don't race homeView attachment 29774View attachment 29775
