Hi guys & gals
I will try to make this clear as i can, I work for a national company that works all over the uk, I live in the midlands and have just started work on the east coast,I look after a dozen men who work for the company who live local to that area, I would like to take the lads out for a xmas drink but i want to take my van so i can stop over ( dont do hotels or b&bs), so can anyone recommend a good spot to stay.

Cheers Chris:)

One night only you would probably get away with a night in Cleethorpes on the front or Mablethorpe...pay your money take your choice.

There are a few wilding spots between, but not practical realistically if you are on the lash.

For my money look towards Humberston a stones throw ..from Cleggy. a couple of industrial estates and car parks you have half a chance of a nights kip without disturbance.

Any chance of one of the lads letting you use his driveway or park outside his house?

I think it would help if you could narrow the area down a bit more, there's a lot of coast between Mablethorpe and Grimsby!

Thanks channa
was not planning on getting drunk myself, having to drive home the following day, just a thanks to the guys for their hard work.
randonneur
driveway would be ok but nothing better than waking up with a view out to sea, being a midlander dont get to see much the coast.

I dont think you will have a problem on Cleethorpes seafront this time of year.
better for taxis etc and a few hostelrys within walking distance.

A calculated risk you understand,

there are a couple of big car parks and spots Humberston way though for the sea view..in the morning.

Sure you will have fun

If it's a sea view you want then you could try Huttoft Car Terrace at Anderby, ( see forum thread England, Lincolnshire ), the sea is right on your doorstep. Come south through Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe and Sutton-on-Sea and you drive right past it on the coast road ( not the main A52 ).

Might be a bit far south for you though, although handy for Jinglebells and Skeg.

have a look at ANDERBY CREEK it on your right from chappel st lenords .
car park toilets cafe and pubs .go past caravans to end at turn round park up and walk up ramp and look at sea .used to livr there no problem to stop there for the night .there are a few pull-ins on that cost.
would think twice about cleethorpes sea front .its ok to stop at thorpe park end big car park there .
