Overnight Parking.

On those apps they often say the supermarket carpark is suitable for vehicles up to a large 4x4. This has put me off a bit: particularly as I often need two spaces

Yes, I suggest that you don't run with scissors, and that you don't go to sleep on railway lines.
These seem pretty obvious to me, but not as obvious as not using a pay-to-park app if you don't want to pay to park.
Well you took your time.

I don't recall ever paying for parking, it is getting more difficult though, but why would I pay to park in an otherwise empty carpark.

I've used Just Park and Your Parking Space to book overnight spaces BUT some have restriction signs saying no sleeping in vehicles, and that may not be shown in the parking app
There is an argument that the p2p app contract doesn't have the same conditions as the parking contract without it.

Lidl let you stay for free Kev.
Ask the manager and all they ask is you’re away for 8 next morning.
We always buy something, but that’s not mandatory.
have parking restriction in our local lidle.. and lidle in next town............think you get 1 and half hour...or is it two hours ..not sure.....
parking company regulate it....

Yeah, most supermarket car parks have those time limits now. Usually around 1.5-2 hours max. Parking companies are getting stricter about enforcement. Lidl seems particularly keen on their restrictions.
