overnight Loch Lomond and Musselburgh

anyone know of nice places to stay for an overnight in the Loch Lomond Area and also for one night in Musselburgh. There for the Edingburgh Marathon next weekend.

we have stayed in the carpark in tarbet by loch lomond its where the cruises go from.
i dont know if its still ok.
maybe someone have more info.

Loch Lomond

Just spent 6 days on the east side of Loch Lomond. Good over night stops at Rowerdenan,
Sallochy picnic area and Balmaha parking area. No tap water at Sallochy but taps, toilets and pubs at the two other sites. No shops after Drymen,so get in the supplies.
P.s I Ignore "no overnight camping" restrictions ,which these sites have

THere are some layby's on the west side of the loch near Luss - very pretty!

Last time we were there we stopped in one at: N56.12426; W4.65266. WE are leaving tomorrow en route for Orkney and may stop there tomorrow or Thursday night.

Yes, we're really looking forward to it and moving on to Shetland if all goes well.
