We have an family meeting to go to in April at Takeley Essex has anyone any suggestions for a over night parking spot ? I have not been to that part of the country for years , I understand it's changed a lot.

Overnight in Essex
There is a Rest Stop area on the A120 just before the Takeley turn off coming from Stansted Airport or M11. there is one of these both sides of the dual carriageway & each has toilets & a burger van. Plenty of M/Hs have stopped here overnight & you are only about 5/10 minutes from Takeley.

you dont say where the meeting is actually taking place, ? if you cant get outside their house or on their drive, try as you go into the village , at the crossroads where the pub is , pub on left as you come from m11, turn right , and as you go along the rd , there used to be what looks like an old railway station on the right and on the left , the street ends of some houses, not in front of them, i've parked there when using the airport, left my mobile no in the window, and called a cab from the airport.

The spot on the A120 would suite. You fine.
For Electric hook up Braintree has Gosfield Lake Campsite.
About half an hours drive away.
Takley is very rural and quiet now that the A120 by passes it .
Llots of ideal spots off the road?
I live in Near by Braintree and the roads through are really very quiet lots of lay byes.
