Seriously though I don't think driving standards here are too bad compared to the continent. The worst thing about driving in the UK is the roads are so heavily congested compared to just about anywhere on the continent. I'd say in terms of standards we're below Scandinavia and Germany but far better than the Mediterranean countries. Italy, Albania and Greece being amongst the worst.
In terms of licences for the over 70s. After the hair raising experience of being given a lift by my elderly father I'm going to start a petition to withdraw driving licences from anyone over 70. That's right, a blanket ban, use the bus!
It should ease congestion and lower the market value of second hand motorhomes with all you old duffers off the road (ducks for cover!)
