Had a great trip away this week, mainly due of course to the glorious weather, started off by going to Whitby, then on to Robin Hood Bay. Parking in th top car park is ok and not unreasonable at £5 for 24 hours, met up with an old mate had a few beers in his local then back to the van for some kip.
Nextday saw us going for a walk down to the bay, letting the pooch run on the beach and chase the waves, great fun.
We then parked up over looking RHBay in a layby high up called Sledgates car park, to have our bruch.
From there we meandered down towards Scarborough, parking up on the North Bay side. Parking restrictions apply, means you have to move on from 11pm till 7am.
Wasn't a problem, great weather, people watching, on there jet ski's, wind surfing and generally enjoying life, it would have been rude not to have joined then.
We stayed there for 3 days, moving on at approx 10:30pm, found a really quiet side road, and settled down for the night, setting the alarm for 6:45am, to move back to the see front for again 7am.
Were we again settled in for the day, being a tad under 6metres in length, our van fitted in to a parking bay, so no worries or complaints for us.!
We then moved on to Skipsea, where we were gonna stay the night, but it was heaving, so after taking a few photo's of the disappearing land, we headed home.
Got home about midnight, got up this morning to again a glorious day, wondering where we will go next.!
Motor homing, don't ya just love it.!
