Anyone use these? https://www.tayna.co.uk/leisure-batteries/optima/

Asking because we bumped into a guy in a 30 year old expedition vehicle who swore by them. He claimed that his were 7 years old and were still giving good service. He chose them because of the extreme temperatures he encounters on his world tours and the robust stability they give.

He told us that his vehicle started life as an Iveco pick up truck, he then had a box made for the habitation, upgraded the suspension and wheels and a whole host of other things. He also told us he had done most of the Americas, Africa, East and West Europe, Scandinavia, Australia and New Zealand. His next adventures were to be Asia.

The Iveco was on it's second engine, the first having blown in LA with 550,000km's, he imported a new engine in from Germany which has now covered nearly 500,000km's.
The van itself looked immaculate outside, underneath and inside.

Anyway, any thoughts on the Optima battery's?

Is it the two grey batteries on the second page that are suitable for leisure batteries, the rest are cranking only, or am I talking out of my rear orifice again?

I don't know, it does say "Some batteries provide enormous cranking power. Others, deep cycle reserve power. The revolutionary ODYSSEY® battery is designed to do both."

If that's true or advertising stuff I don't know.
I can't remember which one I used as a leisure battery, but it did have a red top and black body (that's as techie as I get)
